The revolution will be twittered.

Not a physics post, but an observation. There is a major event going on in Iran right now - protests involving many thousands of people; rioting; the most political upheaval since the 1979 revolution. I hope that everything works out for the best - any country with a Supreme Leader needs a new governance structure, IMO. Anyway, twitter is being used as a major tool by the Iranian protesters. So much for my general perception that twitter was only for people more self-indulgent than bloggers (ahem.). It's fascinating and alarming to watch events unfold from halfway around the world, while CNN reports on things like Sarah Palin/David Letterman feuds. It's as though the "news" network has forgotten what real news is....

What if that Supreme Leader was an Einstein or Gandhi?

Einstein? That would have been terrible!

any country with a Supreme Leader needs a new governance structure Darth Cheney does not like you, ditto Janet Ann Napolitano, Douglas Shulman, and green boys Paulson, Bernanke, Sommers, and Geithner. (La Napolitano is the swineherd slopping Homeland Severity's pot-bellied pigs.)

An Islamic polity is personally attended by Yahweh Himself. It will be the Garden of Eden blooming, directly or as a test of faith. We sincerely wish them all the blood they can possibly shed. Ditto the Los Angeles Coliseum Wednesday given LA Lakers victory riots earlier in the week. Think of it as evolution in action.

Did you know that Twitter has been blocked in Iran since the protests began? Bloomberg. My cynicism says the maintenance postponement is just buzz, and the MSM just wants to seem like they "get it".
